The Mercury Stator produces the electricity to operate the ignition system to run the engine. The ignition stator assembly for use on various 6hp through 25hp Mercury and Mariner 2-cycle outboards. The ignition stator comes with the stator and lead wire harness. The Mercury stator gets damaged with no spark for the engine. As a result, without any spark, it will be difficult to run the engine, and the difficulties will increase if the engine warms up.
